Think you know footy? Put it to the test every week and go up against one of the legends of the game, Steve "Blocker" Roach, to win weekly. End up at the top of our tipping leader board to win a share of our $350 Marsden Voucher prize pool.

Beat Blocker's Tips for the week? Not only do you get bragging rights, but we'll also shout you a free schooner every week!

Be sure to get your tips in before Thursday kick off. Choose from a Block & Grapple Front Row or Marsden Hazy.

"Beat Blocker" Footy Tipping – Terms & Conditions

Entry

Entry into the Marsden Footy Tipping Competition is free ($0 per person) for the 2026 NRL season.

Season Long Prizes

At the conclusion of the NRL regular season, prizes will be awarded to the participants with the highest cumulative tip scores:

1st Prize: $200 Marsden voucher

2nd Prize: $100 Marsden voucher

3rd Prize: $50 Marsden voucher

In the event of a tie for any season prize position, a tie-breaker method determined by The Marsden Brewhouse (e.g. margin prediction or playoff result) will apply.

Season prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.

Weekly “Beat Blocker” Prize

Each round, participants who achieve a higher tip score than Steve “Blocker” Roach will receive one (1) complimentary schooner.

Participants must strictly beat Blocker’s score for that round. A tied score does not qualify.

Tip Submission Deadline

All tips must be submitted prior to the official kick-off of the first NRL game of the round (Thursday night game where applicable). Late entries will not be accepted.

Eligible Schooners

Winners may choose from:

Block & Grapple Front Row OR Marsden Hazy Pale

Redemption Conditions

Complimentary schooners can only be redeemed during NRL game days at The Marsden Brewhouse.

Schooners must be redeemed within 21 days of winning.

A maximum of three (3) complimentary schooners may be accrued per person at any time.

Schooners are not transferable, exchangeable for cash, or redeemable for any other product.

Scoring

Standard NRL tipping rules apply (one point per correct tip).

Disputes

All scores, results, and promotional outcomes are final and at the discretion of The Marsden Brewhouse.

Responsible Service

All prizes are subject to RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) guidelines and venue discretion.

General

The Marsden Brewhouse reserves the right to amend or cancel the promotion at any time.
